(1) Different bedding fabrics require different washing methods. Carefully read the washing instructions on the bedding label. The washing steps for bedding are as follows: First, stir the neutral detergent evenly and dissolve it in water below 30 degrees, then put the items to be washed in; soak for about 10-15 minutes before rinsing; the washed bedding should be hung to dry, but not exposed to the sun for a long time.
(2) When washing pillow cores or quilt cores, it is best to use a drum washing machine or hand wash; when washing newly purchased bedding for the first time, it is best to use clean water for weak washing, and do not use bleach; bedding sets with printed patterns may sometimes have floating colors when washing, which is normal.
(3) Bedding should be washed clean when changing seasons, and stored in a dry place after drying. In the southern region with high humidity, it should also be dried regularly. Bedding is generally not easy to get dirty on a large area and is easy to wash and maintain, but the washing and maintenance methods of products made of different fabrics are very different. Before washing and maintenance, check the washing labels of each product.
(4) When storing bedding, dark and light-colored fabrics should be stored separately and folded neatly. Putting an appropriate amount of mothballs in cotton fabrics can prevent mildew from infesting the bedding. The same method can be used to prevent mildew from infesting wool and silk quilts. However, mothballs should not be placed in silk and wool fabrics to prevent the fabrics from turning yellow. Place them in a place with appropriate humidity and good ventilation.
